HAPPY NEW YEAR
It's 2018 and HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2017 was definitely a challenging and difficult year for my family and I, with the loss of our son, having to with go surgery for an ectopic pregnancy, finding out my sister has cancer and currently still battling it and many more trials. However, 2017 was a year full of love, new friendships, traveling, adventures, bonding and many blessings. Despite the heartache, pain and loss I am grateful for everything that was presented in my pathway last year. It taught me valuable and important lessons that I will never forget. But, this is a new year full of many more memories to create and I have never been so excited in my life.

Just like everybody else I have created my personal goals and I wanted to share them with everyone. I do believe that creating goals is an important thing to do as it gives you something to work towards, a purpose to your year and what your trying to achieve. This year my main goal is to be happy! For me, being happy cures pretty much everything. Another important goal is to never doubt or second guess myself and the decisions that I make. Last year I found myself never trusting the decisions I made and it really affected all aspects of my life. Now, my physical and eating goals are probably the most challenging for me. If you didn't know I am a desert freak, I love my chocolate so much! But after having health problems last year I realized how important it was for me to start eating heathy again and exercising regularly. This meaning I had to cut almost all of my chocolate out of my life. I have been eating healthy and exercising 6 out 7 days since the beginning of this year, and I feel the difference. I feel lighter, healthier and more energized to carry out the day. As for my eating I have cut out rice and bread, eating more vegetables and greens. It's probably the hardest thing to ever do. I see so many people posting about their diet and saying how yummy it is, but to be honest its not that great. I don't know if its because I love sweets or healthy food is just nasty. However, I have learned that it can be delicious but it requires time and preparation. I have noticed that the more effort I put into preparing my food, the more I enjoy it. This is just the beginning of my change in lifestyle and I can't wait to see and feel the results. So my question for you is what are some of your goals? have you written them down or just thought of them? have you shared them with someone else so they can hold you accountable? If not, do so! I believe in writing my goals down so i can physically see them, I have to tell my husband the goals I have put in place so he can hold me accountable and support me in achieving those goals. Find someone that can help you do that as well, it's worth it and I promise you that those goals you have set and written down can and will be accomplished.

I am very excited for what this year has in stall for my family and I. I am prepared for the trials and challenges that will come our way, but also prepared for the fun, joy and happy experiences that we will have. We all hope and pray that this year is going to be the good one, but I think every year is good and bad. Sometimes we can't control what happens in our lives, but we can control the way we react and respond to those things. I know that an attitude of gratitude can seriously change your outlook and perspective of life. Write your goals down, create purpose in your 2018 year, embrace every challenge that comes your way, live your life to the fullest, like its your last! Gordon B Hinckley said, "Go forth in your life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face but with great purpose in your heart."

I hope you all enjoy the year that is a head of you, and I hope that you will embrace all aspects of it. Be happy its the perfect cure for everything. Happy new year!
